It's as simple as that.
Formerly a member of the Public Security Bureau of the Metropolitan Police Department, she was once engaged with anti-terrorist efforts in Japan protecting confidential government information. Amidst her investigative activities, she caught word of the Iwai Detective Agency and met the protagonist. However, after having discovered the corruption within the police force and Public Safety Department, she decided to resign from her position. Currently, she belongs to the Public Security Intelligence Agencey of the Ministry of Justice.
